Meet the Teacher Night is tomorrow evening, and I wanted to put together a slideshow to play tomorrow night showing what the students have already done in Grades 1 and 2. For those that can't make it tomorrow night, below is our Animoto Slideshow of our exciting first week at school. Watch this slideshow with your child. What did your child enjoy doing the most? What has your child already learned at school? Please leave us a comment and let us know!
Aviva, this is great, and so handy for the parents that can't attend. May I ask you a question? I was reviewing our board's online code of conduct with the kids and the gr 5s pointed out that it will be nearly impossible for me to make our private blogs public because we can't post photos, talk about upcoming field trips in public forums, and cannot mention children by name. How can we at least open it up to the parents and maybe a couple of schools?
Is there a way to have two sets of posts? Maybe one blog that mentions all of this private information (more of a website) and one blog that is public and deals with topics of interest but not the ones mentioned. The other option is to use a site like Edmodo, where only those with a group code can see your posts. Parents can get a parent code too. Hope this helps!
