Halloween Story VoiceThreads

A couple of weeks ago, my students wrote a Halloween Pattern Story that Mr. McDonald's class in Manitoba illustrated. They then wrote a story that we illustrated. Today, we connected with Mr. McDonald's class via Skype and read the stories together. Below are the VoiceThread stories. I hope that you enjoy them as much as the students did!

Thanks Greta! Glad you liked the project. I was really pleased with how well it worked. The students loved collaborating with Mr. McDonald's class!

Hi - looks like a wonderful project. I like the use of voice thread for that (first time I've seen it - must check it out), although for some reason I can't hear the audio. Perhaps something I could do with my kindergarteners.

Thanks for the comment, @Jon-e! For this VoiceThread Project, we typed in the comment instead of adding audio. You could do this with audio instead though. I think it would be a great Kindergarten activity!

Fabulous Aviva,

My gmail name doesn't match my twitter name - I'm actually @Mr_Fines. So many accounts...so many different user names. If I had the foresight I would have made them all the same. Hindsight is 20/20. When we do it, I'll post a link. Thanks for your inspiration!

Thank you for sharing your Twitter name too! I'll definitely keep a look out for the link. If you think about it, please mention me in the tweet (adding @grade1 to the end of it), and then I'll make sure to see your post and have a peak and what you do. Hope your students enjoy it as much as mine did!
